January 29 Weigh inWell, another successful week...Trent is at 209.8 - he lost 1.2 lbs. this week and I'm at 229.6 - I lost 2.2 lbs. this week. Progress!!! January 27 SundayWell, it's lazy Sunday. :) We've done pretty well this week. We're looking forward to weighing in on Tuesday. I bought an elliptical on Thursday night and I LOVE having that here. It's so handy. Hopefully that will truly help with my weight loss.
Trent's cut way down on the pop consumption and has been more active this week as well. Hopefully we'll have a good weigh in on Tuesday. We did have one bad night - we went to Olive Garden. But, one bad night a week is not so bad. January 22 TODAY'S WEIGH INI lost 1 lb. and Trent lost 1.4 lbs. Not great but I'm happy. A loss is a loss and I know next week is going to be even better. We're buying an elliptical machine Thursday and I'm really excited about that! :) On to a new week of weight loss. Hopefully a more successful one as well! January 19 Moving along....Well, it's been another tough week at work so we can honestly say we really haven't been working out like we should have this week. I feel so tired all the time lately. The weather's just gray and gloomy and that's not helping!
I got on the scale today and am stuck..same as Tuesday. I'll have to try hard to get good workouts in this weekend for our weigh in on Tuesday. Trent's doing a little better on the pop consumption this week. He's cut it down a lot so that's a start! We still have so much work to do but we're going to keep moving along... January 16 Another weekWell, we weighed in last night and I'm now at 232.8 which means I've lost another 2.2 pounds. Trent stayed the same this week...no loss. We know why..it's the darn pop. We had a rough time getting moving and going to the gym much too so I think this will be a much better week. Hopefully mine will keep going down! I really need to lose weight. I've recently been told I have sleep apnea now (which is from obesity) and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. (Also from obesity.) SO, I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT AND GET HEALTHY AGAIN before I develop any other problems. January 12 Ups and downsBoy, it's been a rough week here. My Fibromyalgia gave me problems all week so I didn't even make it to the gym once. :( I ate pretty well until yesterday and yesterday I went off my diet all day. I guess one bad day all week isn't horrible but it's still bad. Trent is having the hardest time with pop. That's his biggest downfall. Well, we're getting back to the gym today and I'm getting back to my Lean Cuisines and fruits and vegetables. We'll see how the weigh in Tuesday goes. I'm staying positive! We can do this! January 08 Biggest Loser Million Pound Match Up - WEEK ONE weigh inWe just did our weekly weigh in :

YEA!!! :) January 05 A NEW DAY!!!Welcome to our site! We are Tami and Trent Marshall and we live in Bettendorf, Iowa. We have been married since' 2006. We have made a New Year's resolution for 2008...it's to get back to being ourselves. We met in 2004 and we were both in great shape. Trent played football and worked out often. Over the last few years he's hit ups and downs with his weight and he's at an all time high now of 214 pounds. He wants to get back to his goal weight of 175 pounds.
I have a more complicated story. When Trent and I met in 2004 I was a size 4 and I was in great shape. However, I had been getting pains all over and when I went to the Dr. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I was prescribed anti-depressants and they made me gain over 40 pounds within a few months. Although I continued to work out and eat right I kept gaining weight and was unaware of why it was happening! After a couple of years and finally finding the right Dr. we found that I had an underactive thyroid, adrenal fatigue and hormonal imbalances in addition to the Fibromyalgia. It has been an uphill struggle. In the midst of all of the problems I gave up on myself, started eating poorly and stopped working out. I have gone from a size 4 to a size 2X in the last four years. I was up to 270 pounds and I've lost 32 pounds so far and am now a size 18. I now weigh 238 pounds. I haven't lost any weight in the last two months (mostly because of the Holidays) and I have a long way to go to reach my goal weight. My goal weight is 150 pounds!
Trent and I have a combined weight loss goal of 127 pounds!
We have watched every season of the Biggest Loser and we're big fans. We would LOVE to win the challenge and get to go to the finale in California. We would also LOVE to win personal trainers for a year. We have had a rough time with my health problems. It has been hard for both of us to deal with. I have not been myself for a very long time and Trent feels that he hasn't either. We have really let ourselves go. We entered the contest because we want to do something to push ourselves to stay committed to being healthy again.
We deserve to win because NOW we are motivated and committed to putting our health first! We've been through alot of bad and we're ready for some good to come our way! We would also like to have children but I do not want to put myself or a child in danger by getting pregnant while I'm obese. I want to get to my goal weight and be able to have a healthy pregnancy.
We didn't do a very good job of controlling our eating over the Holidays and we're starting the New Year off right by eating healthy and hitting the gym. We're ready for our challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We plan to lose the weight by eating healthy and working out as much as possible. We are team T&T and we want to WIN - for ourselves but most importantly, for our health! HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) |
